I'll Be Your Frankenstien

When my husband and I first met he was a punk rock kid who I wrote off as too young for me, he was 20 and I was 25.  We met because we had the same tattoo artist, she's still our artist, she was our wedding officiant and she's one of our best friends.  I talked to Ryan at several parties before I finally decided I had to have him.  He was very committed to his punk look, which I found a bit goofy and affected, especially his shoes which were creepers.  I told him they looked like Frankenstein shoes and made fun of how tall they made him, he's 6'3" and with his creepers on he was about 6'5" which is pretty tall compared to me at 5'4".  Apparently my opinion and ridicule so deeply affected him that he never wore his creepers again, which I feel pretty bad about, especially in light of the fact that I'd kind of like a pair myself these days.  An awesome pair was recently featured on Halcoholic, in fact I'm pretty sure they are the gold pair that is below.

I want them, and at less than $50 a pop, that might actually be able to happen.  You can find them on Rivithead along with lots of other styles.

These are really cool and can be found over at the British Boot Company, but you can only have them if you're a (probably men's) size nine and you have £195.00

These are bright red and such.  They can be found at the Underground and are not too expensive.

More from the Underground.

While I was looking at creepers I came across these winkle pickers which are also quite good.  If none of these are making your rock-n-roll footwear dreams come true then how about these next ones.

Moving into the realms of the ridiculous we find these studded high tops from Christian Louboutin over at Barney's.  I know these aren't creepers, but they caught my eye, and not in a good way.  The leopard print ones are pony hair and come in at $1095, to which I say, "get fucked."  The black and white pair are more reasonably priced at $995 and $835 respectively.  Sure.  If you're a poseur with lots of money then these shoes are for you.

And why not round it all out with the Prada creepers that everyone is obsessed with?  I'd take some of these, and seeing as they're leather they'd make a perfect third anniversary gift.  Right.
