Anniversary Ideas

My anniversary may be over 8 months away, but that isn't going to stop me from starting to think about my anniversary gift.  For those of you who aren't married or maybe just aren't so up on traditions, each anniversary has a specific theme/material to help guide you in your gift giving.  The first anniversary is paper, twenty fifth is silver, fiftieth is gold, etc.  I like that the 80th anniversary is oak, maybe you can buy each other caskets if you're still together at that point.  I'm not sure who determined these or when, though there is a traditional list that been around for a long time, and then there is some tacky modern list that includes things like clocks and appliances and desk sets.  Yeah, no.  The traditional gift for a third anniversary, which I have coming up in October, is leather.  Hell yes.  I hate to think of my husband stressing about what to get me, so  it seems only fair that I drop a few hints here and there.  Lets start with some satchels, because I have lots of stuff that needs carrying.

First up: the new Dr. Marten satchels that everyone is freaking out about.
I like them.

I also like this bag from ASOS, it's bright yellow which makes me happy, and at about $100 not too expensive either.

A couple more, also on ASOS from the Cambridge Satchel Company, in several bright colors.

One last one from ASOS, the Suede Studded Punchout Pocket Satchel. Let's move on to the fancy stuff now, shall we?

Oh my, that is pretty.  Proenza Schouler satchel over on Net-a-Porter for $2350.  Yikes.

This one is smaller and way more doable at only $1595.  Oh wait, no.

Ooooooooh, more yellow, but this time it's McQueen, and it's on sale!  It's marked down to $1656.  The description on Zappos includes this gem:

"Darkness falls. The phone rings. Your destiny...divine. What will be the outcome of your opulent obsession? Mastermind your every move with calculated confidence carrying this magnificent masterpiece by Alexander McQueen™!"

Well fuck, now I definitely need it.
