I've been knitting for years now and I'm always looking for new projects that are interesting with out being too "crafty gal" looking. I don't want the knitted things that I make for myself or for others to look like I made them myself. I want my projects to look inspired, polished and professional. A lot of the knitting patterns that are out there are either too wacky, too dowdy or too boring. Because of this I usually end up making my own patterns. I'm about ready to start working on a new sweater so I'm looking for things with intersting, though not over the top, details I can incorporate.
This disconnected buttonband is kind of intersting. Rachel Comey on Tobi.
Lutz & Patmos Sweater with interesting increasing.
This model has very good hair which is almost the same color as mine, but hers is longer, sigh. . .
I love pretty much everything about this sweater, except the fact that the yarn is mostly acrylic, not my favorite. Anyway, it's by River Island over on ASOS.
I really like the dropped stitches inside the cables on this sweater by Jamison, and that's about all I like about it. It's over on Shopbop.
And finally, feast your eyes on this. Those cables are insane, the back looks kinda sci-fi military. A little over the top for me, but it's very pretty to look at. If you're one of those people who can wear white things without spilling all over yourself, then you're not like me, and you should totally buy this. It's Givenchy over at FarFetch, and it's a mere $2715.00. While you're doing that I'll be over on ebay buying some discounted yarn. Good times.
