Quilling is Pretty

I was looking through pictures from the Spring 2011 Maison Martin Margiela show which was really beautiful, and saw the image below.  It was really interesting to see the use of quilling in something wearable.  Well sort of wearable, I'm not sure where one would be able to wear it, though if someone wants to give me this outfit I promise I'll wear it everywhere.  Quilling is usally done with paper, I'm wondering what they used here.

How cool is that shit?  I love it, especially the pant leg and sleeve hems looking like the uneven ends of the strips of paper.  The whole look instantly reminded me of the work of Yulia Brodskaya.  She does really innovative work with quilling.  I'm sure you've seen her work before, check out some of it below.
