Needing Some Inspiration

I have been so uninspired to work on anything since I've gotten back from my parents' after New Years.  The only thing I've been able to really focus on lately is my new obsession with extreme couponing, because I'm extreme poor, see?

I started working on making the long black skirt that I mentioned in the last post and was totally bored.  I suppose it's not surprising really, it's a long black skirt.  It'll be nice to have when it's done, but the process has left me feeling creatively snoozy.  I need a project that's actually interesting and culminates in the completion of something pretty.

Last night I went through a few different needle art books I have to try and get something going in my head.  One of my favorite books in these situations is Native Funk & Flash by Alexandra Jacopetti. It's been blogged about all over the place 'cus it's pretty awesome.  I was lucky enough to find my copy at a used book store about 10 years ago for $3, not the $40 or $50 I'm seeing on eBay (wtf?)  Anyway, I love the erotic elements you see in some of the stuff.
Some are subtle.

Some are fully naked dudes.  I don't think my husband would be so down with me making a quilt that featured an image of him with his junk exposed.  What a square!   And how about that orgasm inspired hem decor to the right?  There's an idea. . .

So we should be throwing what at weddings?  Amazing.

Yes

Also, you get to see some amazing men like these.

Wow.  Billy is bringing it hard here.
