Style Envy: The Good with the Bad.

Recently I posted about my mild obsession with Taylor Tomasi Hill's hair.  Last week I found a couple more images of her from various Fashion Weeks while poking around on some different websites.  The first is extremely envy inducing.

This image from Streetfsn.  I want everything about this look.  EVERYTHING.  The pants, the jacket, the hair (duh,) the bag, the sunglasses, all of it.

The next look made me swoon at first.  Take a look.

This photo also from Streetfsn. It's sort of a disheveled, rock-n-roll, vintage look, which I like.  But oh dear, the shoes sure look familiar.  Let's get a closer look.

Is it?  (This closer shot brought to you by Style.com)

Yes, it is those stupidly expensive Christian Louboutin - Louis shoes that you can get from Barneys for the obnoxious price of $835.00.  I wrote about how stupid I think they are a while back, and even with Taylor wearing them I have to stand by that assertion.  These just look like Vans Sk8- Hi tops or some leather Converse that have been heavily studded.  I could make something fairly similar to these myself for well under $100.  Maybe I will.  I probably won't.  But seriously, I could.

These leather Converse can be found on Zappos for $65.  The shape is slightly narrower through the ankle shaft, and the rubber on the toe means no studded toe cap, but they are $770 cheaper so I can deal with all that.

Then I'd go ahead and get 4 orders of 100 Silver Cone Spike Studs - 3/16", you can get them here.  It will cost you about $19.

Or maybe you're feeling some pyramid studs.  You can get about 400 of those for about $12 from StudsandSpikes.com.

Next you have to sit down and actually map out where you want everything to go, and then you gotta put in the studs.  It will be boring cus studding shit gets tedious, but you'll be saving over $700, so just focus on that.

Then today I found this photo, again from Streetfsn.

Gee, what are those shoes?  Well, they're these shoes:

Those are Punkrose Retro Graffiti Hi-tops, and they sold for around $58.  Guess she had to go cheaper after the Louboutins.  If you're dying to imitate that's too bad because they're sold out most places, but you can try looking around on ebay I guess.  Good luck.
